Spring is asparagus season! Most of us cannot get enough of it, especially when it is grilled. Be sure if you do grill your asparagus that the grill is fully preheated. The same applies for the oven. When the temperature is correct, these can roast for 15 minutes and be \"done\" to perfection. Serves 4
1Large bunch of asparagus
2tbspLemon fused olive oil
Sea salt and ground black pepper
Switch it Up!
For a fresh and herbaceous option, replace all the Lemon fused olive oil with Tuscan Herb or Herbes de Provence infused olive oil and add a splash of Sicilian Lemon white balsamic if desired to add a bit of zip to the finished product.
For an herbaceous yet still lemony variation, substitute half the Lemon fused olive oil with Milanese Gremolata.
Looking for something delicious and sweet? Drizzle the asparagus on the serving plate with 1-2 Tbsp of Traditional, Fig, Neapolitan Herb, or Pomegranate dark balsamic right before serving.
Preheat the oven or grill to 400 degrees F.
Wash the asparagus and snap off the woody ends.
Arrange in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Drizzle with the olive oil, salt and paper. Roll around on the sheet to evenly coat the spears of asparagus.
Place in the oven, or on the grill, and roast for 15 minutes.
Remove and serve immediately.
